Summer Body Sculpting With CoolSculpting®

Summer Body Sculpting With CoolSculpting®

It’s officially swimsuit season. Whether gearing up for the beach or a pool party, you want to feel confident and comfortable in your skin.

If you’re struggling to get results at the gym, summer body sculpting with CoolSculpting® may help you achieve the contours you want. The noninvasive treatment enhances your shape without surgery or downtime.

At Associated Skin Care Specialists, our skilled dermatologists want to help you feel your best this summer with CoolSculpting. We offer this noninvasive treatment at our Maple Grove and Eden Prairie, Minnesota, offices.

Read on to learn how CoolSculpting works, what you can expect, and why now is the best time to get started.

CoolSculpting basics

Body fat is good at keeping heat in when it’s cold outside, but fat cells are more sensitive to cooler temperatures than skin and muscle. When exposed to cold temperatures, fat cells freeze, crystallize, and die.

CoolSculpting has figured out how to take advantage of this vulnerability to get rid of stubborn pockets of fat on the body. The CoolSculpting applicator delivers a specific cooling temperature directly to the fat cells under the skin without damaging the surrounding tissue.

The device freezes and kills the fat cells and the body removes them from the area, eliminating 15 to 28% of fat in the treated area.

Now is the best time

Results from CoolSculpting aren’t immediate, but you should see significant improvements within 8 weeks of starting. If you have vacation plans this summer and would like a little help getting rid of unwanted fat, now is the time to start CoolSculpting at Associated Skin Care Specialists.

We use the body sculpting tool on common trouble spots, like the abdomen, thighs, and buttocks. We can even treat more than one body part at a time with DualSculpting.

Sessions take 30 to 60 minutes and require no downtime.

What to expect during and after treatment

We make sure you feel comfortable during your CoolSculpting session. Our body sculpting expert sets you up in the treatment room and places the applicators over the areas of concern.

The applicators gently suck up the skin and deliver the cooling temperature. You may feel some tugging and pulling and then a cooling sensation before the area numbs.

You can check and send messages, catch up on your favorite shows, or sleep during your CoolSculpting session. After removing the applicators, we massage the area to increase circulation and support the body’s natural fat-removing process.

Most people find CoolSculpting comfortable and only need one session to get results.

Getting the most out of your sessions

CoolSculpting can improve your shape by reducing stubborn pockets of fat. However, it’s not a weight loss treatment. You get the best results when you're at a healthy and stable weight.

We can reduce the number of fat cells in the treated area, but fat cells in other areas may grow if you consume more calories than you burn. Eating a balanced diet and getting regular exercise to maintain your weight can help you maintain results long after the end of summer.

Do you want to learn more about how CoolSculpting can help you get ready for summer? Call us today to schedule a consultation with our cosmetic dermatology experts at one of our offices — in Maple Grove, Eden Prairie, or Minneapolis, Minnesota. We can talk to you about the treatment, how it works, and how it can help you.

You can also take our CoolSculpting quiz to see if it’s right for you.

We provide comprehensive dermatology care at the offices mentioned above, as well as in  Blaine, Fridley, and Coon Rapids, Minnesota. We also do clinical studies out of our office in New Brighton, Minnesota.
