Open Position

LPN or CMA:

Associated Skin Care Specialists, PA has an immediate need for a Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support our busy dermatology practice. The position is part-time (30-34 hours) Monday - Thursday with hours Monday and Tuesday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and Wednesday and Thursday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Travel is required to our Fridley and Maple Grove locations. This position is benefits eligible.

Summary:

The LPN or CMA performs clinical and administrative duties under the direction of a physician. Duties include: ordering supplies, obtaining patient histories and medication information, preparing patients for procedures such as biopsies and excisions, stocking rooms, cleaning and sterilizing instruments, assisting provider with exams and procedures, charts documentation in electronic medical record. The LPN or CMA may also include answering clinical calls, communicating results, filling prescriptions, and scheduling treatments and follow-up appointments.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Current Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse Licensure.
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment
  • High level of customer service and professionalism required
  • Experience with EMR strongly preferred
